Designing and building most of my life, as a farm boy I started with agricultural facilities and just kept advancing to residential, commercial and multifamily. With over 30 years’ experience the last 15 has been concentrated on ICF and simply building better longer lasting energy efficient structures. With all the projects we have designed over the years we have also had the luxury of building numerous of them with our in house construction division Wester Built. This has given me the incite to know what works and what doesn't on site and implement design details and systems to make ICF faster and easier to build. Over the years I have developed many ICF accessories as well as the Fortruss ICF suspended slab system. This project was one of our first total ICF to the trusses designs, it was also built by our in house construction division Wester Built. 2700 square foot main floor area is doubled with the full walkout basement, there is also an oversize four car attached garage. Everything about this home is custom and built to serve for multiple generations.

Built in 2005 this is our own home, again design and build was all in house. Fit to an odd shaped corner lot we went with Logix to the trusses. This is also the very first use of Fortruss Suspended ICF floor system, enabling the development of spay below both front and rear double garages as well as the front veranda. Using Logix also made it simple to have a central walkout courtyard with exterior fireplace, integral retaining walls, concrete deck. For ten years now this has been a very quite, energy efficient home and office for us and our business. ICF walls and floors throughout, even the counters are concrete, If the architectural controls would have allowed there would have been a concrete roof too.
