The overall design was intentionally simple. We introduced a variable vapor barrier between the trusses and a service cavity built under the trusses. This vapor barrier was sealed to the ICF walls to eliminate over 130 separate penetrations through the lid. We also designed a frost protected shallow foundation that utilized the ICF wall, and led to greater speed, less site disruption, and greater energy efficiency.
